Celebrating the National day of the State of Qatar 2015

His Excellency Sheik Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Belgrade, held a reception on the occasion of the National day of the State of Qatar, at Hyatt Regency hotel. The event was attended by 400 people including top ranking officials, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications His Excellency Mr. Rasim Ljajic, as well as the heads of diplomatic missions, public figures, representatives of the political and cultural spheres of the Republic of Serbia, in addition media and press representatives and religious figures.  Excerpts from the event as well as a documentary about the State of Qatar were aired on National TV and one of the most popular TV channels in the Balkans RTV Pink.

In his welcoming speech His Excellency the Ambassador thanked His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Ljajic for joining the celebration of the National Day of Qatar, in an expression of the brotherly relations between the two friendly countries under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar and His Excellency Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, President of the Republic of Serbia.

The Ambassador reiterated that the foreign policy of the State of Qatar, which was established by His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and followed by His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir (may Allah protect them) is the basis of the political and economic strength of Qatar. Its goal is to highlight the status of the State of Qatar in international forums, and strengthen its relations with brotherly and friendly countries in the framework of mutual respect and common interests, and to support international peace and security, as well as achieve well-being and prosperity for all nations and peoples.

In conclusion His Excellency the Ambassador expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the guests for their participation in the celebration of Qatar’s National Day.
