Belgrade / April 1, 2019 / The Council of Arab Ambassadors accredited to Serbia organized a cultural event entitled "Arab Day", held at the National Library of Serbia.

The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions, Serbian officials and a large number of Arab and Serbian citizens.

During the event H.E. Mr. Mohammed Nabhan, Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Serbia delivered a speech, reminding of the Arabic contribution to civilization. The ceremony included honoring the Serbian orientalist and former head of the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade Professor Rade Bozovic for his contribution in promoting Arabic culture and Arabic language in Serbia. In addition, traditional Arabic music and cuisine were presented at the event.
